Mr. Cafer Fahri Dikmen who served in the Veterinary Directorate in İstanbul, is one of the most important figures of his time with his expertise in animal diseases. Veterinarian Cafer Fahri Bey, who was the first expert on animals used in agriculture in Turkey, has 23 books.
Mufassal Yeni Tavukçuluk (“New Poultry in Detail”), a 545-page famous book by Cafer Fahri Bey was published in 1926.
The explanation of the book says: “This book is a comprehensive source, containing the latest scientific developments and findings, and includes more than three hundred pictures and figures.”
The book is one of the most important sources written on Turkish poultry. The cover also has a brilliant design. It is one of the most joyful covers in our library. As an encyclopedic source, it describes poultry with more than three hundred figures, visuals and photographs from its past to the present day, in both scientific and folk language.
